Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) on 6th November, 2019 welcomed a team of faculty members from Helwan University, Egypt who are seeking to engage in partnership to promote scholarships and research opportunities.
While addressing the Professors in his Boardroom, the Hospital CEO, Dr. Wilson K. Aruasa, MBS said MTRH values the spirit of partnership which brings a positive change in the institutions involved. Dr. Aruasa said the step by Helwan University forms part of the success journeys other partners have taken over the years in MTRH.
The CEO reiterared that the Egyptian University can collaborate by offering scholarships for multi-disciplinary cadres in MTRH that include: Nursing, Haematology-Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Corporate/Administrative courses and many other areas of mutual benefit.
Prof. Mona Fouad Attia, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research at the University welcomed the cooperation saying the linkages would improve research and service provision.
Present during the meeting were: Prof Simeon Mining, Director Research-Moi University; Prof Charles Lagat, Director International Programmes- Moi University and Mr. Titus Tarus, Director Nursing Services, MTRH.
