The National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) on 7th October 2021, celebrated Customer Service Week jointly with Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) in an event that recognized the fundamental role played by Customer Relations towards effective service delivery.
MTRH whose Core Value Number one is Good Customer Experience and NCPB whose top Core Value is Efficiency in handling agricultural commodities reiterated the role of partnership that results in top quality services to clients.
While receiving the guests at MTRH , Hospital Chief Executive Officer Dr. Wilson K. Aruasa MBS, EBS observed that NCPB is a critical player in national/strategic food security including for patients.
“Being a crucial function, the Hospital Board and Management have invested heavily through a new modern kitchen and purchased a brand new food van for efficient food delivery to patients. All this aimed at making our patients as comfortable as possible.”
The team from NCPB led by North Rift Regional Manager Mr. Gilbert Rotich said the agency is working to scale up storage of quality stocks and rolling out the same to their clients.
He said they are keen in provision of quality service to enhance customer loyalty, trust preferences so that their products and services remain relevant and meet current demands.
MTRH CEO lauded NCPB for meeting standard requirements of supplying various food products to the Hospital , saying patients cannot go through the medical management without balanced diet .
Dr Aruasa said when the country faced COVID-19 pandemic, the role of NCPB in food production shone because the Hospital relied on good nutrition to function alongside medicine to mitigate effects of the virus.
