Dr. Philip Kiptanui Kirwa , newly appointed MTRH CEO was today, received by Hospital staff at the Hospital’s Chandaria Grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Kirwa , a renowned Gynaecologist begins his tenure as the Chief Executive Officer of the biggest International public Hospital in East and Central Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his remarks, Dr. Kirwa said the appointment is dedicated to the thousands of Kenyans and those from Across the borders seeking health care services at MTRH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Kirwa thanked the appointing authority, H.E. The President,The Cabinet Secretary, health the Board for having trust in his leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that during the national doctors strike, MTRH performed its mandate at over 75 percent higher than all Hospitals in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The CEO said the mandate on the staff of the Hospital is monumental and urged them to continue scaling up this leadeship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Let’s work hard, lets know that all Kenyans seeking healthcare have faith on us. Every Department, every Directorate, have no choice but to excel in service delivery “.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Let’s all be our brothers keeper, sisters keeper and dedicate our energies to the service of the patients”, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We want to continue building the foundation already set by our predecessors in provision of quality healthcare as we support the Government’s policy of Bottom Up Tranformational Agenda (BETA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From July, healthcare provision will be changed for the better through the Government’s Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF) and the related new health laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Kirwa, a medic with 28 years experience in health said through his appointment, he will deploy his skills to lift MTRH to a higher level. He spoke about the specialized services that MTRH is offering and those to be rolled out soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The CEO mentioned the upcoming services like Cardiac Cathetirization Laboratory stationed at the Hospital’s Private Wing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
