Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) joined the world on 6th September 2024, to mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month under the theme: “Standing United in the Fight to close the care gaps.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MTRH urged stakeholders to continue scaling up awareness meant to close the gap on the care of children battling cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Beatrice Melly, representing MTRH Chief Executive Officer, called on the public to participate in blood donation saying this is the major support to children battling cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Daniel Komen, Uhai Life Sciences brand ambassador, 5-time world record holder, and former 3000m steeplechase champion, rallied Kenyans to come together and support the fight against the menace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faraja Cancer Support Agency which participated during the event, held at MTRH Memorial Wing, emphasized on the importance of community support and blood donations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Kaspers and Prof. Lisa from Princess Maxima Center, Netherlands, contributed to the conversation on how everyone can make a difference. They have been supporting MTRH for over a decade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was also graced by well-wishers including Coca Cola Company and Bakeries from Eldoret City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
