{"id":2867,"date":"2025-02-12T13:56:59","date_gmt":"2025-02-12T10:56:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mtrh.go.ke\/?p=2867"},"modified":"2025-02-12T13:58:57","modified_gmt":"2025-02-12T10:58:57","slug":"mtrh-marks-world-day-of-the-sick","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mtrh.go.ke\/?p=2867","title":{"rendered":"MTRH marks World Day of the Sick"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) marked the World Day of the Sick, celebrated every year February 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Senior Director Administration &amp; Finance Dr. Benjamin Tarus, representing the CEO, graced the event with Bishop John K. Arap Lelei, Auxillary Bishop of Eldoret Diocese, celebrating the mass at MTRH St. Camilus Catholic Chapel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year&#8217;s theme is: \u201cHope does not disappoint but strengthens us in times of trial (Romans 5:5).&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The World Day of the Sick is an awareness day, or observance, in the Catholic Church intended for: &#8220;prayer and sharing, of offering one&#8217;s suffering for the good of the Church and reminding everyone to see their sick brother or sister in the face of Christ&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bishop offered prayers and good wishes to those currently suffering from illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In attendance were: Christine Tonui, Director Health Administration, Dr. Eunice Temet, Ag.
