Health Cabinet Secretary Hon. Aden Duale, EGH, today led a high-level Ministry of Health delegation to the proposed Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) Multi-Specialty Hospital site in Kiplombe, Uasin Gishu County as part of preparations leading up to ground-breaking in due course.

\u200eHon. Duale noted that the visit was a strategic engagement ahead of a planned Presidential event later in the year.

\u200eMTRH CEO Dr. Phillip Kirwa briefed the delegation on the ongoing processes and site readiness for the groundbreaking of the landmark project.
\u200e
\u200eThe MTRH Multi-Specialty Hospital is expected to significantly scale up Kenya\u2019s Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by expanding access to advanced sub-specialty healthcare services across the country and the region.
\u200e
\u200eIn addition, the CS is in Uasin Gishu County to launch digital transformation initiatives, including the handover of end-user devices aimed at modernizing the health sector and improving service delivery.

\u200eThe CS is being hosted by Uasin Gishu Governor H.E. Jonathan Bii, MTRH CEO Dr. Phillip Kirwa, and is accompanied by Public Health and Professional Standards PS Ms. Mary Muthoni, Acting CEO of the Digital Health Agency Eng. Anthony Lenaiyara, among other senior Ministry Officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
