MTRH\u2019s Bronchoscopy Camp kicked off this week, bringing together pulmonologists, anesthesiologists, and pathologists to improve early diagnosis and treatment of lung and respiratory related diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The camp focuses on early diagnosis of lung diseases (lung cancer, infections, and interstitial lung disease), specialized testing via sample collection, and therapeutic interventions (infections and foreign bodies).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The camp is supported by a grant from the Olympus Foundation and is expected to benefit 20 patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The surgical team includes Prof. Lameck Diero, Dr. Aliya Noor, Dr. Maria Srour, Dr. Caroline Lusweti, Dr. Daisy Korir (Pulmonologists), Dr. Victor Mutai, Dr. Josephat Kerema, Dr. Rose Shitzinzi (Anesthesiologists), Dr. Chesori and Dr. Dorothy Mmbaiza (Pathologists).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
