He said some of the specialized services now offered in MTRH include; Cochlear Implantation, Kidney Transplant, Open Heart Surgery and Corneal Transplant among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On infrastructural developments, Dr. Kirwa highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships. MTRH and New-York-based Shoe4Africa Foundation, recently handed over site for the construction of Julie Anne Perry Paediatric Cancer Hospital and Harry J. Dyer Burns Hospital to a contractor. Upon completion, the 162-bed Cancer Hospital and 62-bed Burns Hospital, alongside the existing 120-bed Shoe4Africa Children Hospital, will form a children village complex- the only one of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new Board Member lauded MTRH for the Multi-disciplinary approach to service delivery and strategic direction in offering services through sub-specialities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
