Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Best in Occupational Health & Safety 2024 Healthcare Category

Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH), has yet again emerged the best institution in Healthcare Sector in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS).

The award was presented during the World Day for Safety and Health at work 2024 edition commemorated at Nyayo Gardens, Nakuru, on 28th April.

The Annual World Day for Safety and Health at Work (SafeDay) is marked globally every 28th April in solidarity with the workers who have either been injured or died while at work.

It also promotes a safety culture by creating awareness among workers on Occupational Safety and Health issues.

The trophy and certificate were presented to the Ag. Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Philip Kirwa by Dr. William Kiprono – Secretary of Administration, representing the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Social Protection, Hon. Florence Bore, EGH.

Accompanying the CEO were the Hospital OHS Committee and Secretariat led by the Chair Titus Tarus, Director, Nursing Services.
