Eli Lilly and Company and its Affiliates Provide Medicines for Chronic Diseases to MTRH
Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) has received vital life-saving medicines from Eli Lilly and Company and its affiliates through the Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB).
Lilly provides medicines to improve health of people living with diabetes, mental illness and cancer. The assorted medicines are crucial in the fight against Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).
Lilly has been a long-standing supporter of MTRH, through the Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare (AMPATH).
MTRH and AMPATH are currently focusing on NCDs and Population Health which are key components towards the realization of Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
Lilly has provided medicines to MTRH through AMPATH for more than 20 years.
While receiving the medicines, the Ag. CEO Dr. Philip K. Kirwa thanked Lilly and CMMB acknowledging the role of strategic partnerships in advancing healthcare service delivery.
He reiterated that the medicines would go a long way in supplementing support from the Government of Kenya (GoK).
