MTRH marks World Day of the Sick
Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) marked the World Day of the Sick, celebrated every year February 11.
The Senior Director Administration & Finance Dr. Benjamin Tarus, representing the CEO, graced the event with Bishop John K. Arap Lelei, Auxillary Bishop of Eldoret Diocese, celebrating the mass at MTRH St. Camilus Catholic Chapel.
This year’s theme is: “Hope does not disappoint but strengthens us in times of trial (Romans 5:5).”
The World Day of the Sick is an awareness day, or observance, in the Catholic Church intended for: “prayer and sharing, of offering one’s suffering for the good of the Church and reminding everyone to see their sick brother or sister in the face of Christ”.
The Bishop offered prayers and good wishes to those currently suffering from illness.
In attendance were: Christine Tonui, Director Health Administration, Dr. Eunice Temet, Ag. Director Mental Health & Rehabilitative Services, Chaplaincy Team, St. Camilus faithfuls and staff.
