MTRH provides specialized surgical care across various disciplines, including:
General Surgery: Including procedures for various conditions affecting the abdomen, digestive tract, and soft tissues.
Kidney Transplant Surgery: Offering comprehensive services including Kidney transplantation and post-transplant management.
Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery: Treatment of bone fractures, joint replacements, and trauma-related injuries.
Neurosurgery: Surgical interventions for brain, spine, and nervous system disorders.
Cardiothoracic Surgery: Including open heart surgeries and other complex cardiac procedures.
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery: Including hand surgery, with notable cases such as the reattachment of a traumatically amputated hand.
Ophthalmic Surgery: Including Corneal Transplants, Cataract surgeries and other eye-related procedures.
ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) Surgery: Including cochlear implant surgeries, a first in Kenya and East and Central Africa.
Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) & Oncology Surgery: Including liver cancer surgeries, with innovative cost-saving techniques.
Pediatric Surgery: Conducted at the Shoe4Africa Children’s Hospital
Obstetric and General Gynecological Surgeries: Including Cesarean Sections, Hysterectomies, Cystectomies and Fistula repairs. The hospital provides surgical treatment for various gynecological cancers, including: Cervical Cancer; Radical hysterectomy and adjuvant therapies, Endometrial (Uterine) Cancer; Total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy and lymph node sampling and Ovarian Cancer; Primary debulking surgery followed by chemotherapy.
Urology surgery: Including surgical interventions and management of urethral strictures, prostate disorders and reconstructive urological surgeries.
Plastic Surgery: Includes Reconstructive Surgery; Addressing congenital deformities, traumatic injuries, and post-cancer reconstruction, Aesthetic Surgery; Enhancing physical appearance, Burn Care: Managing and treating burn injuries, Hand and Maxillofacial Surgery; Specialized procedures for hand injuries and facial surgeries including Cleft Lip and Palate surgeries.
Spine Surgery: These services encompass; Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (MISS), Spinal Deformity Correction, Trauma and Fracture Management, Degenerative Spine Conditions: Managing age-related spinal issues like disc degeneration and spinal stenosis, and Spinal Tumor Resection.

MTRH is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to support its surgical services:
Majaliwa Operating Theatres: Multiple theatres equipped for various surgical procedures.
Intensive Care Units (ICU):
For post-operative care and critical patients.
45-Bed Neurosurgery Centre: Offers specialized neurosurgical care with its own HDU and ICU.
Minor Theatre: The minor theatre provides services for minor surgical procedures and wound care.
