MTRH CEO Leads Mazingira Day at Kiplombe Multi-Specialty Hospital Site
MTRH CEO, Dr. Philip Kirwa, yesterday led a tree-planting initiative at the Hospital’s upcoming Multi-Specialty site in Kiplombe as part of Mazingira Day celebrations.
He was joined by hundreds of MTRH staff, along with representatives from the National Government Administration, Kenya Forest Service, Kenya Medical Training College, Kenya Prisons, the Judiciary, and members of the local Kiplombe community.
A total of 3,000 trees were planted during the exercise.
Dr. Kirwa noted that the current MTRH facility has reached full capacity and expressed gratitude to the National Government for advancing plans for the new Multi-Specialty Hospital. He also thanked the President for providing strategic leadership, stating that Kenyans are grateful for the tangible benefits of ongoing national development.
The contractor for the new Hospital has commenced geotechnical and topographical surveys, marking the initial phase of the project, which will eventually deliver a 2,000-bed capacity facility.
This tree-planting initiative reflects MTRH’s strong commitment to one of its core values: Environmental Sustainability.
