Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) participated in this year’s 2026 Eldoret ASK National Show, using the platform to showcase its specialized healthcare services to thousands of Kenyans who visited the Hospital’s stand.
The Hospital used the event to highlight the wide range of advanced medical services it offers as the leading public referral hospital in Kenya and the wider East African region.
Visitors interacted with healthcare professionals, benefitting from the free wellness checkup, learnt about innovative medical solutions, and gained insight into the institution’s transformative healthcare delivery.
The exhibition was guided by Senior Director of Clinical Services, Dr. Andrew Wandera, and attracted several high-level guests. Among those who visited the stand were Uasin Gishu Governor H.E. Speaking shortly after receiving the trophies on behalf of the Hospital, during the official opening ceremony, Dr. Wycliffe Kosgey noted that the showcase focused on key innovations and services that are improving patient care and access to treatment.
“These exhibitions provide a valuable opportunity for us to engage with the public and demonstrate the advanced services available at MTRH,” he said.
The Hospital showcased, among others, digitized healthcare systems, aimed at streamlining patient management and improving efficiency in service delivery; nutrition services, as well as innovative rehabilitation technologies.
A highlight at the stand was the use of 3D printing technology to develop rehabilitative splints and insoles, as well as the manufacture of prosthetic sockets, demonstrating the Hospital’s commitment to integrating modern technology into patient care.
Other services on display included Child Life Services, which support children and families during hospital care, and Nawiri specialized rehabilitative services, which focus on improving the quality of life for mental health patients.
The Hospital’s efforts and impactful display were recognized during the show, with MTRH emerging as the best exhibitor in the Display and Services category for the Health Sector and Pharmaceuticals, as well as Youth Activities Empowerment and Capacity Building.
The recognition highlights MTRH’s continued leadership in healthcare innovation, community engagement, and specialized medical services in Kenya and the region.
