MTRH takes healthcare services closer to the people

Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH), together with State Agencies (SAGAs) under the Ministry of Health, took essential health services closer to residents through a Free Medical Camp at Kiptagich, Kuresoi South Constituency, Nakuru County.

The camp was held under the Forest Complex Integrated Conservation and Livelihood Improvement Programme (MFC-ICLIP), led by the Patron, Dr. Eng. Festus Ngeno, MIEK, CBS, Principal Secretary, State Department for Environment and Climate Change.

Hundreds of residents benefited from free: general medical consultations and wellness check-ups, dental and eye services, preventive screening for blood pressure, diabetes, STI, HIV, TB and treatment for various ailments, and referrals.

Health education sessions focused on common ailments, non-communicable diseases and mental wellness.

Residents also received support with Social Health Authority (SHA) enrolment, alongside access to other essential Government services.
