MTRH UPDATE ON PRECAUTIONARY EBOLA MONITORING

Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) wishes to inform the public that one person is undergoing precautionary monitoring following reported contact with a suspected Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) case 20 days ago.

The individual remains asymptomatic and has tested negative for EVD. Monitoring continues in line with Ministry of Health and World Health Organization protocols until completion of the 21-day observation period. Identified contacts have been appropriately followed up.

MTRH continues to strengthen surveillance, infection prevention and control, and staff preparedness in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders.

All Hospital services continue uninterrupted. The public is encouraged to maintain good hand hygiene and follow official public-health guidance.
